The Staff of the Hotel Villa Selene organizes special moments of reunion, according to the season or on particular calendar recurrences.
The scheduled theme enogastronomic weekends, already a consolidated tradition of the hotel, are dedicated to the “Lobster Dinner” (May-June), the “Cherries Festival” (June), “Mushrooms” (November), while others are organized according to particular recurrences or local characteristics (the carnival, the hunting, the sea, etc). They are usually accompanied by live music entertainment.
Of particular note of interest is the Gran Lunch of August 16th, organized every year by the hotel staff in the woods of Santa Barbara at Villagrande Strisaili, with the participation of local “arrostitori” who cook the dainty dishes over open fires surrounded by the participants.
The prepared dishes are mainly rich mixed grills of fish and meat, but also traditional dishes such as potatoes and onions under the ash or roast cheese. Other theme week-ends can be organized on request.
