The sea

The Hotel Villa Selene is at about 25 minutes drive from the beautiful beaches of Tortolì (Lido di Orrì- 25 km) and Barisardo (Cea – 23 km) facing the blue sea of the Sardinian central East coast. Both beaches are of fine white sand, the grounds are more or less deep (Orrì is low for about 300 m) and the water is light blue and uncontaminated.

The enchanting Lido di Orrì-beach ( at 2 km from Tortolì) presents several caves, each one with beautiful little beaches. Orrì is a large beach about 16 km long, the most important beach of the entire Lido di Orrì is ‘Il Golfetto’, between Orrì and Cea, signed by a big stone by the road with its name painted on it.

The marvellous beach of Cea is situated on the coast South from Capo Bellavista between Tortolì and Barisardo. It is very long, with fine white sand. At South it is delimited by a rocky tongue known as ‘Punta Niedda’, further on we find the volcanic rock ‘Teccu’. This beach is characterized and easily recognizable by the beautiful tall red rocks (faraglioni) at only a few meters from the shore.

Both beaches are equipped with several facilities and rental services (beach-umbrellas, deck-chairs and sun-beds, showers, beach bars, parking spaces, etc.).

For its guests the Hotel Villa Selene has an availability of beach-umbrellas and sun-beds on one of theese beaches, according to the conditions in the offer. And at the end of a day spent by the seaside and under the sun you may enjoy the fresher climate and the breeze of the hills.
