Quads

Motor quads are the ideal means of transport for off-road tours in the wild and rough Ogliastrian environments.

There are many charming excursions available, such as the one to the Supramonte of Urzulei, exploring the giants’ tombs, rivers, caves, Nuraghe and the beautiful “Piscina Urthaddala”, a biological marine area of extraordinary naturalistic importance. The itinerary which leads to Su Fenu, at the confinements with the Barbagia, a place that overhangs the chain of the Gennargentu, Mount Corrasi, and down to the Gorge of Gorropu; the itinerary Pirincanes and Ruinas should include the visit of the homonymous waterfalls which can be reached driving along the lake Alto Flumendosa, and the ruins of the nuragical village of Ruinas, castled in between the mountains; the itinerary Monte Olinie brings you up to an altitude of 1400 meters and offers a stunning view on the Gennargentu mountains, the Lake Alto Flumendosa and, on the other side, over the East coast.

Along the itinerary you will meet a dismissed mine, characteristic fountains, abandoned huts and, with some luck, moufflons and eagles; also very remarkable is the archaeological itinerary around the lake Alto Flumendosa to the archaeological site “Sa Carcaredda”, characterised by a nuragical village, “giants’ tombs” and “domus de janas”.

During the itinerary of Monte Idolo you can admire the Statue of Saint Michael dominating the East coast and the river Flumendosa. And the itinerary Preda Liana (calcarean totem) at a altitude of 1293 m with the view of the spectacular conformation of the Ogliastrian territory in all his variations: from the deep canyons of red porphyry of the Gennargentu massif to the famous kharst “Tacchi”.
