The Gulf of Orosei

There are several boat trips available leaving from Arbatax (about 20 minutes from the hotel) and from S. Maria Navarrese (about 30 minutes from the hotel) to discover the gulf of Orosei. For those who want to visit the magnificent bays of the Ogliastrian coast (Goloritzè, Sisine, Luna, Mariolu, etc.), there are various types of boats for guided tours, they take up to 12 or more passengers and stop in every bay and in the famous cave of the fig, the “Grotta del Fico”, (in the Baunei territory), one of the most beautiful and important caves on Sardinia.

On request it is possible to stop over in one of the bays and to be picked up on return instead of doing the whole tour. Otherwise it is possible to organize personalized tours hiring a boat or a rubber boat, with or without skipper, and practice sports like scuba-diving or snorkeling. For a romantic tour it is possible to hire an antique sailing-ship with skipper and sail along the bays and creeks for a day or more.
Another very recommendable excursion to the beautiful beach of Cala Luna and the cave of the “Bue marino” of Cala Gonone (named after the Mediterranean monk seal or sea ox) on a boat which takes up to 100 persons and serves lunch on board.

All these excursions are available from April to October, according to climate conditions.
