In Ulassai (23 km from the hotel), hidden between the famous calcareous “Tacchi”, the most important European cave extends itself for 800 meters and at a variable height of 30 up to 50 meters. The grottoes “Su Marmuri” can be visited in autonomy or in the context of a wider organized tour taking advantage of a service drives understood in the ticket.
Another worthwhile visit is the textile mill and working museum dedicated to the artist Maria Lai which necessitates a particular mention. Here at the “Cooperativa Tessile Su Marmuri” visitors can marvel at the handcraft skills of the textile workers, who, using ancient looms carry on the traditional work of the area's weaving industry. Of particular interest is the cooperation between the artist Maria Lai and the textile factory, which has resulted in the production of some highly original pieces.
