The Coast - Arbatax, Tortolì, Barisardo, Santa Maria Navarrese

The Hotel Villa Selene is situated at about 25 km distance from the Ogliastrian coast.

Near the coast there is Barisardo (15 km from the hotel), an antique agricultural village in the Ogliastrian mountains with country houses and antique sheep-folds besides an almost 9 km long coast with large and ample beaches. Tortolì (18 km from the hotel) is characterized by its coast with red porphyry rocks and snow-white beaches, among these the outstanding ‘Lido di Orrì’.

Arbatax (23 km from the hotel), a small fishermen’s village immersed in the Mediterranean ‘macchia’, famous for its red rocks, which are considered an absolute naturalistic monument and, last but not least, Santa Maria Navarrese (27 km from the hotel), from here it is possible to reach all the other coves and beaches from the sea, renting a rubber dinghy or a motorboat along the coast.

All the coves of the Ogliastrian coast can be approached as well from the land over the mule paths departing from the highland of Baunei.
