The observatory “Monte Armidda” situated at 5 km from Lanusei on top of the Mount Armidda at 1150 m altitude is the perfect location because completely free from light pollution. From here it is possible to observe without any interference the spectacular Sardinian sky using the most technological instruments available for the visitors.
The observatory’s instruments are placed in a cupola which encloses a space of 25 m². Other instruments are available for visitors who wish to observe from the square in front of the observatory.
According to the right climatic conditions, the observatory opens on Mondays and on Fridays from 09.00 p.m. and during the summer months, on request, also on Wednesdays. Visits on booking.
